Greenville SC, October 1, 1999
- Ranger Aerospace Corporation, a leading acquirer in the ongoing consolidation of the
commercial aviation services industry, today announced the results of a recently
conducted brand awareness and quality recognition "blind" survey of airline
service companies. Of the eleven (11) major aviation companies named in the survey,
Rangers subsidiary Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG) was rated tops
in reputation and in the balance of quality and value of the services it provides,
especially in North America. ASIG also placed in the top half of companies for name
familiarity. The charts included at the end of this release illustrate ASIGs
rankings in the survey.
AVITAS, Inc. an international aviation consulting firm, was commissioned by Ranger
Aerospace to conduct the survey and assess ASIGs brand perception in both North
America and Europe. The survey polled 700 airline industry executives, leaders and
experts throughout North America and Europe and had a 95% confidence interval with
an overall 6% margin of error, according to the expert, independent statistical
analysis.
Dr. George Watts, Rangers Executive Vice President commented "This survey
confirms that ASIG is on track in terms of its quality, training, and safety initiatives.
We will continue our focus on quality; reinvestment in equipment and human resources;
innovative workforce initiatives; and expanding our market share in the US and abroad.
We care what ASIGs airline customers think about the company; its good to
validate that were on the right track with these investments."
